After two weeks of gray skies and a wonderful rain a few days ago we had 52* weather, sunshine and blue skies today!
We finished putting the organic fertilizer on the fields. Next up is spot treating for the few pocket gophers we have . We need to keep them under control so their dirt mounds don’t damage our equipment and the dirt doesn’t end up in your hay.
While walking the fields we’ve noticed some green grass shoots. We’ll reach T-Sum 200 in about two weeks. The fields will come out of dormancy and the 2014 hay season will begin!
